After a hundred years, the side view of the Cathedral still remains the same.
The Diocese of Macau was once the most widely administered parish in East Asia, including China, Japan, Vietnam, and the South Sea Islands except the Philippines, which was then governed by Spain. Every Christmas, the Midnight Mass held in the Cathedral will attract more than a thousand Christians to attend and pray for Macau. At midnight, the Christmas bells and melodious music and poetry will be heard, and the atmosphere will be solemn and peaceful.
